As the second show I completed as part of my university course, Heathers: The Musical was easily one of the university's largest productions in years. I was incredibly lucky to take on the role of assistant stage manager for this production and this role was probably the most challenging I've taken on in my entire practice. 

This show was uniquely difficult in that it had a variety of complex elements, such as firearms, intimacy and fights, but it was also one of the first music theatre shows at VCA that had both the second and third-year music theatre cohorts share the stage for most of the show. As an ASM, managing such a large amount of people, and sourcing and tracking the hundreds of props was incredibly difficult and an accomplishment that I am very proud of. 

The skills I learnt and refined while on this production have formed foundational knowledge that I use in my practice today.
