I've Said Too Much,

Stage Manager,

This production was an original adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing put on by the RMIT RedActs university theatre group.

This production was the first production in which I had the chance to work with original material, where the writers are actively editing and refining the show as rehearsals continue. This was an interesting challenge as it meant I had to keep up to date with script revisions and version control, as well as communicate such information with a large cast of people.

This show, while only being a play, was also almost entirely underscored, which made calling cues an interesting process. I found that collaboration with the lighting designer and the musical director was my biggest help, and the rehearsals spent refining such cue points paid off.

Overall, this was one of the largest shows I've had to call, and the development process of this production has taught me so much about how stage management interacts with devising work.
